Our Swags
Our Swags are essentially a portable bed, very comfortable
and easy to use, offering protection from the elements. They roll out
in seconds, provide an awesome nights sleep and roll up equally as fast.
No hassle, no pegs and no campsite fees, simply roll out your Swag where
and when you want.
Design and Construction
The heart of our Swags is a 50mm thick cotton covered foam
mattress to insulate you from the ground and guarantee a comfortable
nights sleep. Surrounding this is a 14oz ripstop canvas, ideal protection
for our unpredictable British weather! The full length chunky zip has
been chosen because it can cope with sand, mud and grass and complements
our already robust product.
Should the weather look as if it may close in you can pitch the head
end with the shock corded alloy support pole supplied and simply tie
the head flap off to a tree, your 4x4 or similar. To keep bugs and
insects out we provide a FineTex fly screen which zips in at the head
end.
Dimensions and Weight
Rolled out our Swags are 900mm x 2100mm (7’ x 3’),
rolled up they are approximately 300mm dia x 900mm (1’ x 3’),
although this does depend how much bedding you put in. We roll our personal
Swags with sheets, duvet and pillows.
Our Swags weigh 6 kg without bedding and approximately 8 kg with a duvet
and pillows. While it's not well suited to hiking due to its size and
weight, our Swags can easily be stored in the boot of your car or back
of your 4X4, when getting away to the beach or a party at the weekend.
Quality
We have placed a lot of emphasis on quality, as this is very
important to us. Our Swags are made using top quality components. The
canvas for example is designed to provide maximum protection in all conditions,
it is extremely wind and water resistant, it resists mildew, is breathable
and very wear resistant.
When looked after our Swags will last many years.
